There’s this thing with names, it’s so fascinating.
I can spent literally hours looking at baby names websites and making lists of my favourite names. I’ve always done this, I made a ‘Names Book’ when I was only 7. I wrote down the names I liked most in a little diary and highlighted the ones I loved most. This little diary is something I’ve always treasured. I love looking at my childish scrabbles and names that now sometimes make me guess what I was thinking. I mean.. I wanted to name my daughter Buffy because Buffy the Vampire slayer was such a cool girl…
About a year ago I found a website, called Nameberry.com. I loved the way their websites works and the option they gave you to make your own lists. So I signed up and made my first online name list. A list with names I might even use if I get children in the future and after that a list with names I really liked, but not for my own kids, and after that a list of names that were so silly I couldn’t believe parents would name their kids that way.
Every now and then when I am bored or feeling a bit down, I surf to Nameberry.com to start picking out names. And tonight I would like to share some of my favourite names with you!
First, my favourite names for boys;
My favourite names for girls;
- Emmaleigh (or the other variations Emily and Amélie)
