Sorry for all the HP spam guys! I’m just so super excited about the trailer, that movie is gonna be so amazing! I’m already in tears, and I thought that would never happen to me… :P I’ve hardly been online for the last few days because the weather here is so lovely, but I made sure I was online for this!
Just like my other favorites, this also changes a lot. I have many favorite quotes. But at the moment, this is the one that gives me most strength. I know it’s not really a quote, but it means a lot to me at the moment and it was the first thing I thought of.
"I wish I had covered all my tracks completely ‘Cause I’m so afraid Is that the light at the far end of the tunnel Or just the train?
Lift your arms, only Heaven knows Where the danger grows and it’s safe to say There’s a bright light up ahead And help is on the way, help is on the way (…) I forget the last time I felt brave I just recall insecurity ‘Cause it came down like a tidal wave And sorrow swept over me
Then I was given grace and love I was blind but now I can see ‘Cause I found a new hope from above And courage swept over me
It hurts just to wake up Whenever you’re wearing thin Alone on the outside So tired of looking in
The end is uncertain And I’ve never been so afraid But I don’t need a telescope To see that there’s hope And that makes me feel brave
I can both make this a long and a short post. Since I’d did the first one yesterday, today is gonna be short. It’s an easy pick, but it’s not just one book. No, there are actually SEVEN books. I’ve loved them since I bought the first book when I was just 9 years old in 1998.
I literally grew up with Harry Potter, being approximately the same age as the characters when the books were published. I spent a small fortune on these series. Owning all seven books in both English and Dutch. But I love them, even though I haven’t read a single Dutch HP book after the fourth book. When the fifth book was published my English was well enough to allow me to read the English version instead of having to wait till the translation was published.
Over the years I read these books so many times, I have lost count. At the moment I am re-reading them all. I started somewhere in April and I’m now half way through OotP. I’m still enjoying it as much as I did when I read those first words when I was just 9 years old;
This is a difficult one for me. Since there are many tv shows that I absolutely LOVE and adore.
For example I adore the Buffy/Angel series. Spring and summer last year I held a major Buffy/Angel marathon, watching every single episode in the correct order with each other. I started late April and finished in August! It was crazy but I loved it. I could do it again right now!
Another Vampire show that I love is True Blood! Though I must admit that some times it get’s a bit too scary for me. But the amazing story completely makes up for that and get’s me glued to the tv anyway! Another show that I adore but that can get a bit too scary for me is Fringe. I love it, I really do… but sometimes the tension is just too much for me haha!
One of my favorite, less scary, tv shows is Pushing Daisies. I’m still bummed about the fact that they canceled it. It was purrrfect feel good television. Such a cute and colourful love story with some exciting moments added to it.
I’m also completely addicted to the reality type of tv show. Such as the shows that are shown on Discovery Channel and National Geographic Channel. My favorite shows on there are (among others…); Say Yes To The Dress, Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations, Globe Trekker (aka Pilot Guides or Lonely Planet), Wonders of the Solar System, Myth Busters, Air Crash Investigation, and the list goes on and on…
BUT… If I really have to pick one tv show, my all time favorite television program, then I don’t have to think hard. It can only be one, and it’s this one:
There is not a tv show I love more than this one. I basically love EVERYTHING about it. Could watch it all day long and could talk about it all day long. But since this blog post is already getting WAY too long. I’ve decided to keep it short.
